Refund Policy

All fees and charges are nonrefundable unless specified in the Edgewood Municipal Code (EMC) - see EMC 3.35.080 for more information.

Refunds may only be granted before the expiration of the associated application and when:

  1. A fee was charged in error (full refund);
  2. An application is withdrawn before a decision is made (partial refund);
  3. An issued permit is canceled after issuance and before any inspections are made (partial refund).

Refunds cannot be granted when:

  1. The application, approval, permit or license has expired or otherwise been permitted to lapse by the applicant;
  2. The application, approval, permit, or license is for unpermitted or unauthorized work or to otherwise remedy a code violation;
  3. An approval, permit, or license has been issued and inspections have begun; or
  4. An approval, permit, or license has been revoked.

If you qualify for a refund, please email us at permits@cityofedgewood.org with your permit number and the reason for your refund request.
